There’s a new company getting ready to debut on the Nasdaq. And they want to usher in the era of the electric motorcycle.
What’s happening:
- Electric motorcycle company Damon Motorcycles has successfully completed its business combination with Grafiti Holding and will begin trading imminently on the Nasdaq
Why it matters:
- Electric motorcycle adoption is a fast growing trend globally, which has kicked off bigger funding rounds for venture backed startups such as Spanish electric motorcycle company Stark Future and is now finding its way into the traditional public markets for the first time

- Damon Motorcycles manufactures two different electric motorcycles known as the HyperSport and the HyperFighter, which are both built with a patented drive train system that enables them to have longer range than a traditional combustion engine motorcycle
By the numbers:
- Both the HyperSport and HyperFighter are capable of reaching top speeds of 200 miles per hour
- After just 30 minutes of charging, Damon Motorcycle’s electric motorcycles have a range of approximately 132 miles
The intrigue:
- Damon Motorcycles has also developed their own technology which uses predictive artificial intelligence to be able to scan for possible dangerous situations or safety threats and alert the rider through haptic handlebar feedback
