The United States now has their first ever manufacturing facility for quantum computers. And it might just be the beginning of what’s to come.

- Quantum computing company IonQ (NYSE: IONQ) has launched the very first manufacturing facility for quantum computing in the United States
- This is the only manufacturing facility in the United States that is producing quantum computers that are replicable and deployable in customer’s data centres

- Quantum computing is becoming a rapidly growing area of opportunity, with the White House recently declaring quantum computing to be a critical technology for the future
By the numbers:
- IonQ’s facilities based in Seattle now span more than 100,000 square feet in total
- IonQ plans to invest approximately $1B USD in their operations based in the Seattle area over the next decade
