The Bezos Earth Fund is deepening their commitment to cultivated meat.

  • Imperial College of London has officially launched a new facility for cultivated meat and precision fermentation research, known as Imperial’s Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein
  • The funding for the new research facility is being provided by the Bezos Earth Fund, the charitable foundation of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos

  • The Bezos Earth Fund also recently announced a $30M USD grant to North Carolina State University to develop a leading edge research facility focused on cultivated meat and sustainable protein production
  • Cargill is one of the first major companies to publicly commit to being involved with the new research facility at North Carolina State University and will aim to help accelerate scientific breakthroughs around sustainable protein production
