The largest green hydrogen plant in the entire United States has officially entered into production.
What’s happening:
- Plug Power (NASDAQ: PLUG) has announced they have officially begun production of the largest liquid green hydrogen plant in the United States
- The new plant is located in Woodbine, Georgia and will significantly expand Plug's capabilities towards becoming a fully integrated green hydrogen provider

By the numbers:
- Plug’s new operating plant has been purpose built to be able to produce 15 tons per day of liquid hydrogen
- 15 tons per day of green hydrogen is enough to power approximately 15,000 individual forklifts per day
- The new plant was constructed in just 18 months from start to finish
- Currently, Plug has deployed more than 60,000 fuel cells and 180 fuelling stations, which represents the largest green hydrogen infrastructure in the world
