- Gaming studio Gunzilla Games has officially launched their newest video game Off The Grid onto the Epic Game Store
Why it matters:
- Despite just recently being released, Off The Grid has quickly become the most popular free game on the Epic Game Store and is landing huge attention on popular streaming platforms such as Twitch
- Off The Grid is built on the Avalanche blockchain and has plans to launch both a crypto token and tradeable NFTs within the game
Going deeper:
- Off The Grid is yet to actually roll out their crypto token or NFT into gameplay yet, however those features are being actively tested currently on layer 1 Avalanche blockchain GUNZ
- Despite only being deployed on testnet on the GUNZ blockchain, millions of new wallets have already been created due to the overwhelmingly fast adoption and popularity of Off The Grid since initially launching
- While crypto gaming has yet to fully catch on for the most part, there have been enormous amounts of funding commitments made to try to ramp up user adoption from leading crypto companies such as Arbitrum and Immutable
