Two of the most important private companies in the United States of America are partnering up. And they are focused on building the next big technology breakthrough for defense tech together.
What’s happening:
- Defense tech company Anduril has launched a new partnership with OpenAI focused on leveraging artificial intelligence for domestic security and defense tech
The big idea:
- Anduril plans to integrate OpenAI’s artificial intelligence models into both their hardware and software platforms, including Anduril’s flagship Lattice platform
- Together, Anduril and OpenAI are also planning to develop entirely new artificial intelligence models that are trained on the extensive operational and threat data that Anduril has access to
- OpenAI is aiming to have the new artificial intelligence models that they develop be capable of rapidly processing data for real time decision making around drone attacks and potential airborne threats to assist Anduril with national air defense
