Two of the most important companies in defense tech are partnering up to take artificial intelligence capacities to the next level for the American military.

• Palantir (NASDAQ: PLTR) has launched a new partnership with unicorn defense tech startup Anduril to develop new artificial intelligence technology for national security
  

The big idea:‍

• Anduril and Palantir will develop new types of artificial intelligence models that are capable of collecting and processing data from military sensors, weapons and robots
  
• The new data that is collected will help train more complex and comprehensive artificial intelligence technology that can be deployed in real time during operations by the United States military
  

Why it matters:‍

• Anduril has quickly become the most important private defense tech company in the United States of America, which has led to mega funding rounds and disrupting the way weapons such as cruise missiles are manufactured and produced at scale domestically
