Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, NuScale Power has pioneered the development of the NuScale Power Module™, a modular light water reactor capable of generating 77 megawatts of electricity (MWe). These modules can be combined in VOYGR™ power plant configurations ranging from 4 to 12 modules, delivering up to 924 MWe to accommodate various energy requirements. In 2020, NuScale achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first SMR to receive design approval from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
